Problem Statement
Globally
According to the World Bank, currently the world generates in excess of 2 billion tonnes of municipal waste annually. Their projections suggest that the global waste will reach 3.4 billion tones per year by 2050. National geographic estimates is worse at 12 billion tons by 2050,
The fastest growing region is Sub-Saharan Africa, amongst others where currently more than 50% of the waste goes to landfills, rivers/ocean and environment. Only 13,5% of waste is recycled.
PE60,80,100 and bottle grade pellets/granules
The pellets we produce is used mainly to manufacture containers , water bottles, beauty and medical containers, packaging, hardware products etc.
For the industrial and piping industry amongst others they are subdivided in different strengths categories:-
- PE 63 – medium pressure piping systems
- PE 80 – gas pipe for natural gas distribution network with pressure rate up to 4 bars or drinking water pipe with pressure rate up to 16 bar – sewers, outfall pipes, industrial pipes
- PE 100 – high demands piping applications
The Biggest Impact On Our Environment
Of all the waste, plastic has the biggest impact on the environment because it may take up to 400 years to degrade;
It is estimated that only 9% of plastic waste is recycled, the rest ends up in landfills, land, rivers, and oceans and impacts wild and marine life negatively;
Even with possible attempts to recycle, most plastic is considered not recyclable whilst a tiny portion can be recycled economically.
